Time to celebrate Bloody Mary Day
It’s officially 2016, and we love nothing more than to serve up a delicious Bloody Mary brunch with our family and friends for the New Year… It is National Bloody Mary Day after all, one of our favourite days of the year.
The Bloody Mary is a classic cocktail dating back to the 1920s, and still remains to be known as a restorative cocktail because of its heavy vegetable base and salt content.
Our favourite has to be the All Spice Mary, combining flavours and inspiration from each country. However if that doesn’t tickle your taste buds, spin our Bloody Mary Roulette to find what your perfect Bloody Mary would be:
- 50ml Ketel One Vodka
- 120ml freshly pressed tomato juice
- 1 tsp horseradish
- 1 pinch salt, grounded pepper and all spice
- 1 tsp olive oil
Method: Rim your glass with smoked paprika and salt before adding all these ingredients to your glass, stir vigorously & fill with ice. Garnish with a celery stalk, long cucumber slice and a float of sherry.
