A few words from the Nolet Family…

To us our family is everything: it makes us who we are today and as we’ve grown, so has our family, which now includes talented bartenders from across the world.

Sit us in a room and we can talk to you for hours about our rich family history, how each of our ten generations has played an essential part in the Nolet Distillery and the complex distilling techniques used to create such remarkable spirits…but we won’t – we’ll save that for another time, over a Ketel One Vodka Tomatini perhaps.

What we will tell you is that Ketel One Vodka is like no other brand and we explain why on our new website.  

Carolus Nolet Sr (10th Generation of Nolet Distillers) did not do things the easy way.  He knew that to achieve the vodka he wanted, he would have to combine the traditional coal-fired techniques used by his forefathers, including the use of pot stills such as Distilleerketel #1 (the Dutch word for pot still #1, which inspired Carel Nolet sr. to give the vodka its name) with a more modern column distillation. It’s a relatively complicated craft, one which involves a lot of technical detail, but the result; the vodka we know and love today; Ketel One Vodka.

There’s nothing more exciting to us than talking to someone who shares our passion and dedication.  That’s why we consider the bartenders we speak to as part of our family.  It takes a certain skill, creativity and flair to be a top bartender.  We can produce the vodka, but they are the experts behind the bar.

We don’t often like to blow our own trumpet, but we are proud to say that Ketel One Vodka is now served at top bars in over 75 countries across the world, whether people are drinking it on the rocks, or serving it in their preferred cocktail.   And the proof seems to be in the pudding as Ketel One Vodka has been awarded year in and year out by ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars Brand Report’ from Drinks International.
